The following are workers rights factsheets that are provided by the BC Employment Standards Branch that we are providing to you as a public service.

If after reading through the factsheets you feel you are being scammed by your employer in some way you can use this self help kit and contact the Employment Standards Branch at their hotline:

If for any reason you cannot reach them you can contact your local MLA who will help you get in contact with someone at the Employment Standards Branch.

We, the IWW, currently do not have the resources to help all workers obtain their employment standards. There are just too many workers in BC getting ripped off by their employer. But if you are:

• personal care givers who have been denied overtime
• janitors or custodians who have been told by their boss that they are self-employed
• workers that have been told they are a manager and therefore not entitled to overtime
• or employees who have worked more than 7 days in a row without over-time pay

... then please feel free to contact us so we can help you.
